EMERGENCY services were at the scene of an incident in South Street where a man was found in "life-threatening condition" yesterday.
Police confirmed they were called at 2.59pm on September 19, after concern for a man's welfare was reported.
South Central Ambulance Service and Thames Valley Air Ambulance also treated the man, in his mid-30s, who was found under the South Street bridge.
He was then taken by road to University Hospital Southampton's major trauma unit, with the air ambulance team also travelling with the patient.
