PUPILS at at a junior school in Hook learnt more about what it takes to be a reporter after a visit from the Gazette.
Reporter from the Basingstoke Gazette Harry Pamely gave a talk to Year 5 pupils at Hook Junior School on Thursday last week.
He talked about the skills that it takes to become a reporter, how to construct an article, and what the job of being a reporter entails.
The students then put their new skills to work, having a go at writing their own articles about a fictitious meteorite that landed in the school field on the day beforehand.
They spoke to the caretaker who ‘discovered’ the meteorite and then wrote up an article.
