A TEENAGER from Overton who died following a crash in Micheldever has been named as Ben Wilson.
Family have paid tribute to the 18-year-old who lived in Waltham Road, as a kind, caring and funny son with a "zest for life."
Police were called to the fatal collision involving the pedestrian and a Volkswagen Polo at around 11.10pm on Saturday, on the A33 in Micheldever.
Mr Wilson was taken to Southampton General Hospital but was pronounced dead after he arrived.
The driver of the Polo, an 18-year-old from Basingstoke, was not injured.
The family said: "Our family are struggling to come to terms with our loss.
“Ben was a kind, caring and funny son, with a zest for life - a much loved brother, grandson and nephew. He is already dearly missed.
“This has been a terrible shock for us all, and we thank you all for your love, warmth and well wishes.
“We do ask that only close friends and family contact us during this difficult time.”
Police are still appealing for witnesses of the incident to come forward.
Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting Operation Cola.
