MORE than 300 people took the chance to get more information about moving up the property ladder.
A free information event was hosted by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and Help to Buy South on Tuesday last week.
Visitors received advice on the government’s help to buy and shared ownership schemes given by representatives from the National Housing Federation, Sovereign and Vivid housing associations, six independent financial advisors, a solicitor, a building society representative and an estate agent.
The borough council’s deputy leader and cabinet member responsible for housing, Councillor Terri Reid, said, “This free event gives people the opportunity to access all of the relevant organisations to get on or move up the housing ladder under one roof”.
