A LONDONER has been charged with a firearms offence in connection with a police chase near Basingstoke hospital.
After police ordered a car in Aldermaston Road to pull over on at around 1pm on Monday, the driver of the vehicle refused resulting in a collision near St Michael’s Hospice.
Today, in connection with the incident, David Afolabi, 28, of Gibbon Road, London was charged with having an imitation firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He was also charged with three counts of possession with intent to supply drug offences covering heroin, cocaine and cannabis.
He was also charged with driving a motor vehicle dangerously, possession knife/sharp pointed article in a public place, possession with intent to supply a controlled drugs and acquire/use/possess criminal property following an incident in Worting Road, King’s Furlong, on Saturday, 30 December, last year.
Afolabi isdue to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court today for an initial hearing.
