A DRIVER collided with a number of parked cars near St Michael’s Hospice whilst trying to flee from the police this afternoon.
Officers attempted to stop a black BMW 1 series near to Basingstoke hospital at around 1pm today (September 3).
When the vehicle failed to stop, officers followed the vehicle.
In trying to escape officers, the BMW collided with several parked cars in Aldermaston Road and came to a stop on a grass verge outside of the hospice.
The driver, a 28-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and for failing to stop for the police. He remains in custody at this time.
