A MOTORIST will appear in court charged with causing the death of a man in a fatal crash on a major Hampshire road.
Lee Burdon allegedly caused the death of 36-year-old Craig Hall (pictured) in a collision, while over the prescribed drug limit.
Mr Hall, 36, from Middlesborough, was travelling in a minibus on the A34 when he was involved in a collision with a lorry.
He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, near Sutton Scotney on February 26.
Three other passengers were injured.
A 63-year-old lorry driver was uninjured.
Mr Burdon has now been charged with causing death by driving while over the prescribed drug limit.
The 20-year-old, of Tristam Avenue, Durham, is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on September 18.
Mr Hall's family previously paid tribute to the 36-year-old.
Craig’s wife, Jackie Hall, said: “Craig was a family man with a heart of gold. He would do anything to help anyone.
“If he got a phone call in the early hours from a friend for a lift then he would get up and do it.
“He was a real joker and prankster.
“His loss has left such a massive hole in everyone’s lives.
“He lived for his kids and me. He was not just my best friend but also my soulmate.”
