FIREFIGHTERS managed to prevent a blaze in a farmer's field from spreading further than 0.38 hectares.
On Saturday afternoon, crews from the Basingstoke, Andover, Odiham and Hartley Wintney fire stations were called out to the fire in a field off Trenchard Lane, Oakley, at 3.54pm.
The firefighters used four hose reel jets and beaters to contain and extinguish the fires before departing the scene at 5.57pm.
