A NEW franchisee will bring a market scheme to Basingstoke next month.
Popley Fields Community Centre, in Carpenters Down, will host the Little Pickles Market on September 23 which will feature nearly new children’s items.
The idea is to provide families the opportunity to buy or sell everything needed for their children, ranging from maternity wear to nursery furniture, bikes, books, DVDs, games, clothes, toys and more.
The market scheme was set up not only to help parents save money but also to help working items find new homes and not end up in landfill.
Jessamine Hislop, founder of Little Pickles Markets, said: “We want to encourage reusing, recycling and giving unused items a brand new home.
"Helping parents to save money is really important. I have five children myself so I know how expensive parenthood can be.”
