A SCOUT group from Basingstoke has been recognised with one of the highest honours around.
On Friday, 29 June, 23 young Beaver Scouts from the Basingstoke West Scouts were presented with bronze Chief Scout Award certificates.
The award is the highest available to Beavers – youngsters aged between six and eight-years-old – before they move up to Cubs.
Beavers from units at Worting, Overton, Rooksdown, Winklebury and South Ham were in attendance together with a large number of family and friends.
After the presentation the youngsters enjoyed a celebration cake.
The youngsters were presented with their awards by district commissioner for Basingstoke West Mike Webb at the group’s Kempshott Scout HQ.
