A CARE home is set to host an event with a royal feeling.

Cherry Blossom Manor in German Road, Bramley, will open its doors to the local community for an afternoon of Royal Tea in celebration of the Queen’s official birthday on Saturday, 9 June.

Taking place between 12pm and 4pm, guests will be able to enjoy a spread of afternoon tea and will have the chance to meet the team and look around the home.

In preparation for the big day, staff and residents at Cherry Blossom have been busy creating hand-made decorations and bunting for the garden and there will also be live entertainment to be enjoyed by residents and guests alike.

General manager at Cherry Blossom Manor Gigi Despojo said:: “I’m excited about welcoming new visitors and existing friends of the home to our open day. It’s a great time to visit the home and ask questions, but also just to enjoy some delightful entertainment in a homely and friendly setting.”

Cherry Blossom Manor, which is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, gives nursing, residential and respite care as well as specialist dementia care for 77 residents from respite care to long term stays.
