A FLOOD alert issued yesterday, over water levels rising on the river Loddon, has now been withdrawn.
The Environment Agency issued the alert on Tuesday morning for the upper part of the river after heavy recent rainfall, but withdrew the alert last night.
An update from the agency reads: "Levels on the Upper River Loddon have fallen and are expected to continue to fall over the coming days.
"Therefore further flooding of low lying land and roads is no longer expected.
"Rainfall should clear this evening, leading to a dry night in most places.
"There may be water in fields and low lying land for several days. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Rivers remain sensitive to further rainfall."
