A MAN has been arrested in connection with the murder of Jason Williams.
A 34-year-old man from Basingstoke has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody.
An investigation was launched yesterday (Tuesday, 20 February) following the discovery of 41-year-old Mr Williams’ body in Russell Howard Park, South Ham.
A post-mortem examination confirmed that the 41-year-old, of St Peter’s Road, South Ham, was killed by a single stab wound to the chest.
Officers had cordoned off the field behind Limington House School, with police going door-to-door to help with their investigation.
This morning (Wednesday, 21 February) officers had cordoned off a property in St Peter’s Road.
Officers will remain in the South Ham area today while enquiries continue.
