TWO men have been arrested in connection with an aggravated burglary in Basingstoke.
As previously reported by The Gazette three men, two of whom who had their faces covered, forced their way into a flat on Sinclair Drive and demanded money from the occupants, in November 2017.
Police have now arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of aggravated burglary and handling stolen goods, and a 29-year-old who was also arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and concerned in the supply of crack cocaine.
At the time of the incident the men attacked a 38-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man before leaving empty handed.
The victims were later treated at Basingstoke hospital for cuts to their heads and are now recovering at home.
Both men have been released from custody but remain under investigation.
