“THANK you for all your help.”

This the message from Bramley resident Vicki Patterson who has managed to get a seriously ill kitten back to the UK via an online fundraising campaign.

As previously reported in The Gazette, Vicki, was seeking to raise enough money to bring a stray cat that was “only days from death” to England from Ayia Napa.

This effort came following a holiday when she found the malnourished kitten who had pus coming out of one of its eyes.

Vicki said: “I am delighted to say that Leo was flown to the UK [on] December 14. My fundraiser reached the amazing figure of £683 and in addition to this another generous supporter gave £200 directly to the charities in Cyprus that helped me get Leo home.

“He is the most amazing kitten, very lively indeed, loving life and lots of fuss. I can sense how grateful he is that we saved his life and have given him a living home.”

Leo the kitten has now settled in with Vicki’s sister Elizabeth who says that him only having one eye just adds to his character.

Vicki has left her fundraising page open and any money left over after Leo’s vet bills, flight and paperwork will be donated to the charities that helped her.
