NORTH Hampshire Medical Fund’s first ever Cross-Country Fun Ride proved a success, raising over £7,000.
The ride on Sunday 29 October, attracted over 300 horseriders, with money raised going towards funding one of three ultrasound machines required in a maternity unit and a retinal laser in ophthalmology in north Hampshire.
Entrants rode Watership Down and adjoining farm land, plus the opportunity to ride across the Lloyd Webber’s estate – thanks to the Balding family and Lord and Lady Webber.
A competitor on the day said: “It was such a great ride and highly organised, it was an excellent day and I’m very pleased to raise so much for such a good cause.”
