A SECOND man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Stag Hill.
At around 8.30am on Saturday a 28-year-old man was shot in the face and back with what was believed to be a BB gun, after he refused to give two men a lift.
Officers had already charged Travis Taylor, 21, of Branton Close, Basingstoke, with attempted murder and having an imitation firearm in connection with the attack.
Now George James, 23, of Stratfield Road, has been charged with the same offence.
The 23-year-old has also been charged with criminal damage and possession of a controlled drug of class B.
The victim was taken to Basingstoke hospital to be treated for his injuries but was later discharged.
James appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court earlier today (October 31).
