A BASINGSTOKE man has appeared in court today (October 24) charged with two counts of burglary.
At around 11.20pm on Sunday 22 October, police officers were called to a report of a burglary at a house in Queen Mary Avenue, South View.
Two people, a 22-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl, both from Basingstoke, were both arrested at the scene.
Anthony Reed, 22, of Quilter Road, has been charged with two counts of burglary dwelling and theft, two counts of theft of motor vehicle, one count of driving a motor vehicle dangerously, and one count of failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
He appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court today and has been remanded to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday 22 November.
The 17-year-old girl has been released from custody but remains under investigation.
