MORE than 50 correct entries were submitted for Basingstoke Deane Rotary’s ‘Spot the Bench’ competition.
Entrants were required to identify the Benches on the Jane Austin Bench Trail by using the photographs supplied by the Rotary Club. The photos being of a small section of each bench. The competition was divided into two sections - one was the benches around the Town Centre for walking contestants and the other around the Borough of Basingstoke and Deane for those who had transport.
With a limited numbers of prizes a draw was made to decide the winning contestants who were:
Lizzie Spencer and John Terry for the Basingstoke and Deane Borough trail and Linda Swinhoe and Trudy Foote for the Town Centre trail.
Local hotels The Apollo, Oakley House, Audleys Wood and Tylney Hall, donated the prizes of afternoon teas.
