FIRE crews from Basingstoke rescued a dog from a kitchen blaze in Alton this morning (March 14).
Pumps from Basingstoke and Alton fire stations were called to a property in Salisbury Close, Alton, today after reports of a fire.
On arrival, crews tackled a small fire in the ground floor kitchen, using two hose reels and two jets alongside positive pressure ventilation fans and four sets of breathing apparatus.
Nobody was injured in the fire, but one dog was saved from the property by crews and taken to the vet by its owner for smoke inhalation.
