A TEENAGER has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Basingstoke yesterday.
The incident occurred in Hamilton Close at 11:37am, where an ambulance crew and a specialist paramedic attended a collision involving a car and a lorry. South Central Ambulance Service treated a male in his late teens at the scene for serious injuries before taking him to Basingstoke Hospital.
Hampshire Constabulary attended the scene, closing the Houndmills roundabout and the slip road onto the ring road from Winklebury.
Later on in the day, a separate vehicle in the Houndmills Road collided with a lamp post shortly before 5:30pm. Ambulance services attended the scene where a crew assessed the two people in the vehicle. The male in the car did not require treatment but the female in the car was taken to Basingstoke Hospital.
