PEOPLE living in Silchester are being warned to keep an eye out of a suspected rogue trader.
A man has been seen knocking on residents homes around the village attempting to sell compost door-to-door.
The man claiming to be from a local garden centre was seen driving a white transit van in the Silchester area on March 23 around 4.30pm.
Residents have reported that the man was claiming the purchase of the compost was a compulsory purchase from the council.
The police are appealing to residents who see any suspicious activity or suspect rogue trading to contact Basingstoke CID on 101.
