EMERGENCY services are dealing with a blocked train line between Basingstoke and Woking which is causing major delays for commuters.
Trains travelling between Salisbury and London Waterloo will now terminate at Basingstoke railway station.
Passengers traveling from Waterloo to Weymouth will be diverted to an alternative route, as trains are not stopping at Winchester or Southampton Airport Parkway.
A statement on Southwest Trains website said: “Emergency services are dealing with an incident between Basingstoke and Woking, meaning the line between the stations is currently blocked.
“This is causing delays of up to 60 minutes.
“There is no firm estimate yet of how long this will last but it is likely to continue at least until 9.30am, when the line reopens , trains may be delayed until at least 10.30am when services return to normal.”
