OVERTON saw a rise in crime during August according to figures from the police.
Police community support officer (PCSO) Piers Ambler said there were 24 incidents in the beat during the month, which was two more than August 2014.
However, he noted these included crimes that happened at the CarFest festival, held at Laverstoke Park Farm over the bank holiday weekend.
Crimes at CarFest included two mobile phones stolen from a backpack and four assaults.
Other crimes in the beat included a driver stopped and vehicle seized after being caught driving without insurance on Kingsclere Road.
There were three separate reports of road traffic collisions, resulting in minor injuries and damage, and a man on the B3051 was reported for summons for driving in excess of the speed limit.
