A WEATHER warning has been issued this morning for the Hampshire area.
The Met Office warns that heavy rain and wet weather over recent days may cause "minor surface water flooding and perhaps local disruption to transport."
It adds: "Additionally strong winds will affect the warning area."
The heavy rain has been brought to the area by complex frontal systems containing very moist, mild air.
The frontal systems could bring a further 15-30mm of rain to some parts this afternoon, and a few spots might see around 40mm.
The Met Office added: "Strong and gusty winds are accompanying this rain. Inland gusts are likely to be into the 30s or 40s of mph at times."
The yellow warning for rain, which covers Hampshire, advises the public to 'be aware'.
