THE family of a man killed on the A303 have paid tribute to him.
Lee Jones, 27, from Basingstoke, died after he was hit by multiple cars on the A303, near Popham services at around 12.30am on May 23.
Police say the 27-year-old, who was originally from Northamptonshire but was living in Basingstoke, was walking along the road at around 12.30am when it is believed he was struck by multiple vehicles.
In a statement, his family said: “Lee was a much loved son and brother who will be truly missed.”
An inquest was opened and adjourned by Andrew Bradley, coroner for North East Hampshire, last Tuesday.
A review will take place on July 20 at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court.
Anyone who saw the 27-year-old between 12.20am and 12.30am on May 23 is asked to contact Sergeant Snuggs at Eastleigh police station on 101 quoting Operation Bucklesham.
