A TESCO store in Oakridge will be closed for a few months while they redevelop the store.
The Tesco Express store, in Oakridge Road, will be closing on Saturday for a "few months" while work to improve the store, which will include more car parking spaces and a new “Click & Collect” facility, is carried out.
The Gazette understands the store will be closed for five months.
A Tesco spokesman said: “From Saturday, 14 March, our Oakridge Road Express store is being temporarily closed for a few months to enable redevelopment work that will substantially improve our offer for customers. This includes creating more parking spaces, introducing a ‘Click & Collect’ facility and an ATM machine.
“All affected colleagues have been consulted on the changes and provided with temporary roles in other stores.
"Customers will continue to be able to shop at our nearby Popley Express or town centre Metro, but we apologise for any short-term disruption this may cause and will be sure to keep the local community updated on our progress.
“We look forward to bringing forward an even better offer for our customers soon”.
