EIGHTY-FOUR per cent of people said they were happy with the way Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council runs its services, compared to 58 per cent in 2008 and 77 per cent in 2012.

Additionally, 70 per cent of people agreed that the borough council delivers value for money following a council tax freeze for the last five years.

In the biggest increase seen across the results, 60 per cent of people thought the council offered value for money in 2012 compared to just 43 per cent in 2008.

The borough council has had to take £7million out of the budget in recent years following the reduction of money received from the Government.
