A DOZEN people have expressed an interest in creating a work of art to commemorate the First World War in Whitchurch.
Whitchurch Town Council will commission the contemporary textile art.
The winning entrant will be awarded £2,000 to produce the artwork, which will be owned by the residents of the town and be on permanent public display in the town hall.
Artists are asked to create a piece of art that has strong connections to people living in Whitchurch during the war. They have until September 12 to apply.
