THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION)
(BLACK DAM ROUNDABOUT M3 JUNCTION 6 IMPROVEMENTS) ORDER 2014
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-
Reason for Order: The Council is satisfied that traffic on the Black Dam Roundabout, A30 Ringway South, A339 Ringway East and A30 London Road be restricted to allow Black Dam Roundabout Improvement works to be carried out safely.
Effect of Order:
Speed Restriction - All traffic will be subject to a 30mph speed restriction on:-
1. The Black Dam Circulatory Roundabout
2. The A30 Ringway South (Westbound) from its junction with the Black Dam Roundabout in a westerly direction for 250 metres.
3. The A30 Ringway South (Eastbound) from its junction with the Black Dam Roundabout to a point 250 metres in advance of the Roundabout.
4. The A30 London Road (Westbound) from its junction with the Black Dam Roundabout to a point 280 metres in advance of the roundabout.
5. The A30 London Road (Eastbound) from its junction with the Black Dam Roundabout in an easterly direction for 280 metres.
6. The A339 Ringway East (Northbound) from its junction with the Black Dam Roundabout in a northerly direction for 380 metres.
7. The A339 Ringway East (Southbound) from its junction with the Black Dam Roundabout to a point 380 metres in advance of the roundabout. Duration of Order: The Order will come into effect on 1 July 2014 for 18 months. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the speed restriction will be in place for 1 year commencing 1 July 2014.
