A DAD has piled on the pedal power to raise vital cash for a Hampshire charity.
Keith Travers took part in a gruelling four-day London to Paris bike ride on April 9 with his sister Sarah for Sutton Scotney-based charity, Naomi House.
The challenge, which was organised by Global Adventures Challenges, has seen him raise £1,500 for the hospice so far.
Keith, who lives in Beech Way, Winklebury, Basing-stoke, decided to raise money for the charity following the birth of his two-year-old son Xander, and in preparation for the challenge, the 39-year-old cycled 15 miles, four times a week.
He told The Gazette: “It was really nice because we went through the countryside. It was a well-organised event and it was really fun.”
The bike ride marked the end of a fundraising mission that saw the 39-year-old visit Asda supermarket, in Brighton Hill on March 22, pedalling on an exercise bike to raise money to boost the final cashpot.
The dad-of-one is still raising money for the charity through his fundraising page. To donate to Keith’s fundraising campaign, visit uk.virginmoneygiving.com/ team/travers.
