HUNDREDS of visitors flocked to an Overton farm to see lambs being born last weekend.
During a two-day event on Saturday and Sunday, owners of Northington Farm, off Southington Lane, James and Jackie Crosbie Dawson, opened their doors to showcase the birth of lambs and raise money for the NSPCC charity.
Adult visitors to the event, which is in its 17th year, were charged £5 to see the new-born lambs, and in total, the event raised £1,400 for the charity.
Susie Bobin, a former employee at NSPCC, who organised the event along with former colleague Inge Hunter, said: “It went really well. We are very pleased we got the people that we did.”
Mrs Bobin added: “Without the volunteers and Mrs and Mrs Crosbie Dawson, we couldn’t have done the event.”
