A PENSIONER was left shocked and frightened after a thief snatched her handbag.
The theft took place as the 65-year-old woman walked along Tobago Close, Popley, around 5.30pm on Friday, January 3.
The suspect grabbed her black handbag and ran off. It contained a black purse with £20 and bank cards, and a pension book.
Police said the victim was not injured during the theft but was left "shocked and frightened".
The suspect is described as white, 5ft 2ins tall, of medium build and had short, dark and curly hair. The suspect wore a black duffle-style coat and a scarf or handkerchief across their face.
Anyone with information has been asked to call PC Lisa Graham at Basingstoke police station on 101.
