CRIME prevention will be the theme of an event this Saturday at Basingstoke Leisure Park.
Officers from Basingstoke Safer Neighbourhoods Team will be outside the Aquadrome from 9am until 6pm, offering seasonal crime prevention advice.
They will also answer questions about home, vehicle or personal safety, as well as running competitions to win steering locks, bike light sets and ice skating and bowling passes.
PC Mark Gallagher said: “Come along and say hello and see if you can spot the vulnerabilities of our set-up car.
“During the busy festive season it’s all too easy to forget about keeping your cars, homes and personal belongings secure, but it’s really important.
“Simple things like not leaving wrapped Christmas presents on display in your home and using light timer switches when you’re not at home can make all the difference.”
Officers will also be tweeting Christmas crime prevention messages on the day and throughout this month, from @BasingstokeCops.
