POLICE dealt with 36 incidents in Overton throughout October, which included five reports of anti-social behaviour and eight reports of crime. These were five criminal damage incidents, two thefts and one assault.
PC Richard Baldwin said there was another theft from a motor vehicle at Overton train station, and added: “We are continuing our work to ‘target harden’ the car park in a bid to deter any further thefts, however, a few precautions will help reduce your chances of being a victim of car crime.”
He advised motorists not to leave anything on view, not to leave valuable items in vehicles, including sunglasses, removable radio covers and Sat Navs, and to wipe away the Sat Nav mark on the windscreen.
