POLICE have issued a surveillance TV image of a man thought to be involved in the theft of a Mercedes Benz car in Old Basing.
As previously reported, the car was stolen from the driveway of a house in Old Basing between 10.30pm on Friday, June 7 and 8am on Saturday, June 8.
Offenders gained access via a side door to a house in Bexmoor Way, where they stole keys to a Mercedes Benz CLS 350 which was then driven off.
Items which disappeared with the car were golf clubs, a power caddy golf trolley and two pairs of sunglasses – Ralph Lauren and Ray Ban.
A number of items were taken from the house including a black croc leather tote handbag, a tan Prada purse, a Mont Blanc pen set, a bag containing a driving licence, credit and debit cards and £80 cash, Rayban sunglasses, and a Ted Baker wallet containing £40 cash and various cards.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PSI Michael Gray at Basingstoke CID on 101 or call the charity Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
