A MISSION to clean up Brighton Hill will start on Sunday.
The five-day operation, dubbed Brighten up the Hill!, will see police officers and volunteers tackle graffiti, fly-tipping, and abandoned and untaxed vehicles.
Other organisations taking part in the police-led campaign include Asda, Brighton Hill Community College, Brighton Hill Scouts and Sovereign Kingfisher Housing Associations, although police officers also want help from members of the public.
The campaign will start with a litter-pick between 2pm and 4pm on Sunday, organised by staff at the Asda supermarket. It will start outside the St Michael’s Hospice shop, in Brighton Hill Parade.
Pupils from Brighton Hill Community School will also be litter picking in Quilter Road on Wednesday, March 13.
