GENEROUS passengers who travelled on the Stagecoach Santa Bus in Basingstoke during the last two weeks of December, raised £808 for St Michael’s Hospice.
Operations manager Colin Ashcroft, based in Basingstoke, said that the traditionally decorated Santa Bus, complete with festive music and gifts for children, and driven by Santa, proved popular with customers both young and old.
Hospice community fundraising manager Helena Maskell said: “The support of local people in the community really does make a huge difference to everyone at the hospice.
“We are very grateful to Stagecoach for once again choosing to fundraise on who made a donation.”
