This week's Flashback Thursday looks back on the many restaurants and cafe's in Basingstoke that are missed.
One of my favourites was the Friary Fish Bar, on the corner by the original bus station.
As you departed the bus you got a lovely aroma of fish and chips.
This was mine and my sister's Thursday night treat after the Summer Carnival Procession. We used to watch the floats go past by the Civic Offices and then wander down to the Friary, who opened later just one night a year!
How many of the others pictured do you remember?
