FIRST performed in 1895 at the St James's Theatre in London, the Importance of Being Earnest is a farcical comedy in which the protagonists maintain fictitious personas to escape burdensome social obligations.

On Sunday, 2 September the Pantaloons Theatre Company will bring their reimaging of the Oscar Wilde tale to the Barton’s Mill, in Old Basing.

The Pantaloons are a young, vibrant theatre company who bring what we consider to be a vital sense of “play” back to classical performance.

The company will transform the pubs garden into its stage for the unique performance.

Guests in attendance will also be able to enjoy a BBQ and a bar for this fabulous piece of outdoor theatre in style.

Tickets cost £15 for adults and £10 for children, which can be purchased at the bar or by calling 01256 331153.
