SAX quartet Group Sax will perform a double bill in Silchester’s St Mary The Virgin Church early next month.
This popular event, which donates its proceeds to the organ refurbishment fund, sold out last year, with organisers having to source extra chairs to squeeze in more seating at the back of the church.
Directed by Lorna Mountford, Group Sax will perform both a family-friendly matinee at 3pm, and then an evening performance at 7.30pm. The music on Saturday, October 6, will include something for everyone; jazz standards, classical favourites and popular tunes from the likes of Billy Joel, Van Morrison and James Brown, to name but a few.
