FOLLOWING the extraordinary reaction to their haunting cathedral tour Sanctuary, Show of Hands return on a quest to reveal a fuller sound for the band's bold new studio album.
The Show of Hands line-up of Steve Knightley, Phil Beer and Miranda Sykes looks a little different for their 2018 Joint Venture tour.
Miranda and husband Dan have recently welcomed their first baby in November, so Cormac Byrne (percussionist of Seth Lakeman Band fame) steps into the breach to complete the Show of Hands autumn trio and give it a fresh new sound.
Together, Knightley and Beer will deliver the festival favourites that fans know and love, with Byrne adding a new twist to the music.
Knightly said: "We are thrilled for Miranda and Dan and while we’ll certainly miss Miranda on the tour it’s given us an opportunity to do things a little differently.
There will also be special guest performances from Alden, Dashwood and Patterson.
"Cormac is a sublime musician and his input adds a fresh edge to our sound. And as for Alden, Patterson and Dashwood – you’re going to love them.”
Show of Hands will perform at the Anvil on Thursday, 29 November. For more information and tickets visit anvilarts.org.uk/show-of-hands
