THE Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain makes a welcome return to The Anvil on Thursday 17 September with its show 30 Plucking Years.
Celebrating thirty years together, the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain has clocked up an impressive sixteen million minutes of performing, and the irresistible entertainment juggernaut is developing even further with new tours, new audio and new video releases.
Since 1985, the eight members have played festivals including WOMAD and Glastonbury; toured world wide and included such places as Canada, Japan, Australia, the USA, China and most of Europe; made a guest appearance on the Madness album The Liberty of Norton Folgate; and appeared on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway performing with Robbie Williams.
They play ukuleles, they sing, they say funny things, they whistle, but they bring a lot more to the table than that.
Don’t miss this evening of all round good humour, light heartedness, well-being and joy which permeate their live concerts.
Tickets: £23 (price includes £1 booking fee).
