THE Kingsclere Singers are to present two nights of music celebrating courage at the weekend.

Expect to hear favourites such as Amazing Grace, Michael Row The Boat, and the Gospel Medley (Swing Low, Sweet Chariot) alongside traditional African arrangements such as Babethandaza and the unforgettable South African national anthem, Nkosi Sikelel’ iAfrika.

Hazel O’Leary, Kingsclere Singers’ choir director said: “This concert is packed full of colourful, emotional music.

“These two nights of music will take the audience on a journey that reflects hardship, but also celebrates freedom, peace, liberty – and above all, courage.”

Join them on Friday, March 28 March at 7pm at St. Paul’s in Ashford Hill, with special guests Ashford Hill School Choir, and on Saturday, March 29 at 7:30pm at St Mary’s in Kingsclere with special guests Hannington Silver Band.

Adult tickets are priced £7 and children are admitted free of charge.

Tickets can be purchased in advance from Kingsclere Village Butchers, from any choir member or at the door.
