SINGER /songwriter James Mitchell returns to Fairfields Arts Centre on Friday, December 23, for a concert of acoustic guitar music.

James came to the attention of the centre about eight years ago when he performed as part of a Fairfields & Friends summer event in the park. As soon as he started to play a very difficult piece by Tommy Emmanuel, and made it look incredibly easy, they knew they had to get him to play at his own event.

A local musician, he studied music at The Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, and performs all over the South including at Guilfest. He released an album Not Wishing For Stormy Weather with the James Mitchell Band and was at one time the volunteer responsible for the live music Unplgd! sessions in The Haymarket’s Exchange bar.

As well as being a talented musician, one who is very percussive with his guitar, James is a very entertaining live performer, ensuring a really good night out.

The music begins at 7.30pm.Tickets priced £7, £5 concessions, are available from 01256 321621 or on the door on the night.
