AUDIENCES will be treated to lots of music groups for the price of one at the Basingstoke Concert Band’s seasonal concert.
The band is putting on a Summer Concert on Saturday, July 3, but instead of just performing pieces as a whole band, the musicians will really show off their talents as smaller musical groups from within the band also play individual pieces.
From the lilting sound of the harp duet and the melodic tones of the woodwind ensemble to the full depth and power of the 40-strong concert band, there will be something for everyone.
After an interval – and a fish and chip supper – the Basingstoke Concert Big Band will take to the stage and perform big band swing and jazz favourites, and concert-goers can feel free to take to the floor themselves.
The concert is taking place at Sherfield-on-Loddon Village Hall, in Reading Road, at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £10 and include a choice of fish, chicken, sausage or veggie burger with chips, and audiences can take their own refreshments.
Tickets must be booked in advance by calling Sue Foster on 07734 227937
