JAN Jack’s Laughter-House has been bringing laughter to Basingstoke for twelve years.

Her next show on November 14 is set to be no exception.

With a corker of a line up, the evening will be headlined by Mike Gunn.

Familiar to many, Mike’s television appearances include Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Celebrity Deal or no Deal, The Comedy Store and Live At Jongleurs.

His history is as interesting and entertaining as his comedy.

A misspent youth and a series of grim jobs cultivated his cynical outlook on life and a perverse desire led him to the world of stand-up.

A self-confessed pessimist, he describes himself as “not a natural choice for a career in laughter”.

He has a rare ability to walk close to the line of what audiences find acceptable and yet still remain likeable and funny.

Gunn has been described as “one of the ten leading stand ups in Britain” by the The Independent.

As well as a headline set by Gunn at the Apollo hotel, he will be joined by award-winning writer and stand-up, Mark Maier, a sought after performer on both the national and international comedy circuits, who has a string of successful radio series to his name.

The night will be compered by yet another award-winning comedian - Sally-Anne Hayward.

With her confident persona and quick wit Sally has provided tour support for Sarah Millican, Russell Howard and Russell Kane and she regularly comperes at the Glastonbury Festival.

Also on the bill are Sam Savage and, the hostess with the mostest, Jan Jack.

Jan Jack’s Laughter-House was set up in 2006 and has gone from strength to strength hosting comedians such as Milton Jones, John Moloney and Zoe Lyons.

Doors for the November 14 show will at 7.30pm for a 8pm start.
