CAMPAIGN goes from strength to strength: Supporters of Waste Not Wanted have been busy distributing leaflets to raise awareness, and giving out posters for residents to display, encouraging opposition to the proposed anaerobic digester in Bushywarren Lane.
Further details of how to support the campaign to Save our Greenfields can be found at wastenotwanted.com.
HORTICULTURAL Society: Meets next Wednesday, at 7.45pm, in Ellisfield Memorial Hall, for a talk entitled Seven ‘Scilly’ days.
This is a slight change to the original programme taking us a little further south and west. Lucy Frost’s talk on Cornish Zoology will hopefully be rescheduled.
JUBILEE celebrations: Full details of the programme for Ellisfield next week. The festivities start with the annual wine walk – hosts this year are John and Jane Evans, at Meadowview, and Gavin and Jane Weir, at Homestead, both in Green Lane, and Susie Deane, at Drumbeg, in College Lane.
Meanwhile, please respond to Maggie Heath if you have received an invitation to the Jubilee picnic.
