Beetle along to the Methodist Church, in The Street, this Saturday, from 7.30pm, for the Ugly Bug Ball drive, with light refreshments and fun for all. Come in costume or just as you are! Free admission with donations welcome to the refurbishment fund.

THE Village Well: Despite the cold last Sunday morning, a goodly number of souls collected to view the new commemorative well head, in Milkingpen Lane, along with parish council chairman Keith Nuttall and local historian Alan Turton. Warming refreshments were kindly provided by Duncan Kerr, from the Bolton Arms.
