FRIENDSHIP Coffee: Makes a change this month to Saturday, May 26 (not the usual Tuesday), and hosted in our parish church from 10am to noon.
BOOT Sale: On the playing field, this Sunday. Sellers from noon, buyers from 12.30pm (£7 per unit).
GARDEN Party: At the Calleva Arms on Sunday, June 3, from 4pm.
STREET Party: On the common for the Jubilee from 1pm on June 4.
At 3pm, church service and dedication of the Royal Oak, Barn Dance from 6.30pm.
SILCHESTER Fete: Takes place on Saturday, June 23. Items for our many stalls are being collected.
SILCHESTER Players: Had their usual full houses for The Importance of Being Earnest.
VILLAGE Market: On Saturday, June 2, from 10am to noon.
DOG fouling in the churchyard and church car park: Please, dog owners, use a poop scoop.
It is not very nice, particularly at weddings and funerals, if there is dog mess around.
